  • Q: What is Acrylic and what is the difference between Acrylic, Lucite, Plexiglas and others?

Acrylic is a high grade form of plastic. The term "Acrylic" represents a family of petroleum-based thermoplastics made from the derivation of natural gas.  Some plastics have been trademarked. Lucite for example, is a trademarked or brand name of plastic. Just like Campbell's is a brand of soup, Lucite, Plexiglas, Acrylite, Perspex and many others are just a brand of Acrylic.

  • Q: What are the benefits of using Acrylic versus glass?

    • It is easier to fabricate.
    • It is stronger and more durable.
    • It weighs considerably less.
    • It captures more light making it clearer.
    • It is shatterproof making it safer.
    • It can be refinished where as glass can not.

  • Q: What drives the cost of Acrylic Fabrication?

Acrylic is one of the most costly building materials available.

Since we specialize in custom work, there are many factors involved: size, thickness of material, details, finishes, complexity, labor, as well as the time involved between conception to completion. These are all factors that guide our pricing.

  • Q: What is your lead time?

2 to 3 weeks is our general lead time.

Some orders may take less, some may take more. It all depends on the complexity of the individual project.  For a more exact lead time please feel free to contact us.
